Richard Sheldon is the Asbestos Project Manager at New York Environmental Technologies, Inc. He is responsible for recruiting, bidding, and coordinating projects from inception through completion. He also advises and provides technical support for offices of the former company, Environmental Products & Services, Inc.’s branch locations throughout the East Coast.
Mr. Sheldon has been involved in over 500 asbestos and lead projects throughout New York. His extensive knowledge of the industry, combined with his technical and organizational skills, provide a solid foundation for clients and their needs. Clients can rest assured that Richard will perform high quality work. Each project is coordinated timely and cost-effectively.
Mr. Sheldon’s projects have included building inspections for both asbestos and lead- containing building materials, removal and re-insulation of contaminated buildings, thermal system sampling of asbestos containing materials, removal and/or encapsulation of contaminated building surfacing materials, and building demolition. As part of these projects, he has routinely written successful requests for relief from various sections of the New York Labor Law governing asbestos abatement projects. These variances have allowed him to cost-effectively perform many difficult and challenging projects. His project responsibilities have included staffing, scheduling budget control, regulatory compliance, sample collection, data evaluation, and report writing. He has also provided personal training, and served as a technical advisor to many major industries.
Prior to joining New York Environmental Technologies, Inc., Mr. Sheldon gained extensive experience at several New York environmental companies. In addition, he was a consultant and representative for several major corporations.
